SOUTH TYNEDALE RAILWAY

England’s highest Narrow Gauge Railway which runs along the route used to transport the lead and minerals by rail to the Industrial Centres of the world, via the river Newcastle on the river Tyne.

KILHOPE LEAD MINING MUSEUM , Upper Weardale   

Reconstructed Pennine Mine powered by water wheel, the life of Victorian Miners is depicted with hands on experience for the willing young miners.

  HEXHAM ABBEY     Market Place, Hexham
